Partners: Nongovernmetal Organizations

Today some local non-governmental organizations are dealing with prevention of HIV infection in Azerbaijan and the problems of AIDS disease. It is obvious that to carry effective educating, prevention works need to cooperate with NGO closely. In some cases, AIDS epidemy, its miserable situation are reacted by non-governmental organizations (NGO) firstly. NGOs do not deny its support to the Program “Scaling-up the Response to HIV/AIDS in Azerbaijan” of the Global Fund in this field. They carry out HIV/AIDS related trainings with the specially covered and adapted programs in some directions. Of them, teaching of the volunteers of non-governmental organizations working with vulnerable groups to HIV/AIDS and with communities and teaching of the volunteers from highly risky behavioral groups (drug users, commercially sex workers, men having sex with men). NGOs carry out educating actions among highly risk groups and general population. Of them “AIDS Fight” Public Union, Legal Development and Democracy Public Union, Healthy World PU, “Youth For Development” Public Union organizations.
